Who I am

Isaiah McNeilly is a fantasy and science fiction author drawn to the luminous edges of reality—where old magic stirs and technology leads to new worlds. His stories revel in wonder, danger, and the thrill of discovering what lies just beyond the veil—whether through ancient wizards returning from the past or magnificent cities inches away from the truth.

Though his first love is fiction, Isaiah is also a visual artist with a love for all forms of creative expression. His artwork often captures the texture and tone of the world. He concepts his worlds: shadow-drenched forests, decaying ruins, mythic beasts, and quiet moments of heroism. While his writing and art occasionally intersect, each stands on its own as part of a larger creative vision.

Isaiah’s work is rooted in contrasts: ancient and futuristic, mythic and mechanical, broken and brave. His characters walk the line between ruin and redemption.. He draws inspiration from the rich world-building of authors like J.R.R. Tolkien, the intensity of C.S. Lewis’s spiritual undertones, and the visual grandeur of animated epics and cinematic storytelling.

He is currently working toward publication, crafting stories with the hope that they will one day sit on a reader’s shelf like an old friend—waiting to be rediscovered.
